- Perform where you feel comfortable. Maybe your comfort area is performing in front of friends and family. Perhaps you’re the type of person that prefers performing for total strangers that you will likely never see again. If you prefer to start out in front of people you know, try to schedule a performance at your next family gathering. Many students and beginning bands start their careers this way. It’s a wonderful way to build confidence before you perform in other venues.
- With the technology we are surrounded by, you may find it easier to record your performance and publish it online. This way, you can get a lot of feedback from family and friends without the pressure of performing in front of a group.
